15th May 2023
On Monday, Year 3 had a wonderful trip to Colchester Castle. We learnt about what it was like to live as a Roman, who Boudicca was and why she was significant and how historians find out about the past. We enjoyed exploring the Roman vaults, galleries and castle grounds. Mrs. Renwick and Mrs. Lynn were extremely proud of Year 3 for sharing their historical knowledge with Tom, our guide.

Year 3 made cake stands with help from their parents. On Friday we tested their suitability by placing a cup-cake on each stand. They all with stood the test. The cakes were yummy too!.

October 2022
Year 3 have been enjoying their Ancient Egyptian topic. The children have been learning about what life was like for people during this time, including how hard it must have been to collect and transport water from the Rive Nile. They have designed and made their very own shaduf using straws and plasticine.
